The Intelligo™ Interface Engine
(IIE) provides the system integration capabilities that
connect Medicalis solutions with existing healthcare
applications. Based on IHE principles, Intelligo is the
information pipeline between Medicalis solutions and other
repositories of clinical data. Intelligo communicates and
transforms messages using common protocols such as HL7, XML,
EDI, and SQL.

Intelligo supports a wide
variety of communication protocols including: HL7, EDI,
File, SQL, and XML via Web Services. Support for new or
proprietary protocols can be easily plugged in, and there
are no limits on the number of systems you can connect to.

Adapting data to vendor specific
message formats is accomplished using Intelligo's easy to
use, yet sophisticated graphical mapping and routing tools.

System administrators are
automatically notified of any problems or suspicious
behaviour using Intelligo's configurable monitoring tool.
Support for custom notification plug-ins allows Intelligo to
reach support staff using virtually any paging solution.
Monitor and manage messaging
traffic intuitively. Searching queues, viewing message
history, and reprocessing, are all done using the Intelligo
Enterprise Manager user interface.
Intelligo is designed to handle
heavy traffic volume over many connections simultaneously,
on modest hardware. Add redundancy and more capacity by
simply adding up to 32 Intelligo servers to a cluster.
Intelligo will automatically load balance without any
additional configuration.
Intelligo is optimized to be
fast, but not at the expense of processing messages out of
sequence. Intelligo's Clinical ID Locking feature (patent
pending) watches over traffic and assures that messages for
the same patient are never processed out of sequence, even
in a load balanced cluster.
At Medicalis we don't simply
develop Intelligo, we deploy and use it as the integration
platform for our products. We know the product from the
user’s perspective and have spent time producing quality
user guides, online help, and training videos.
